Meet Kiyam J. Poulson, Esq., an attorney with nearly 20 years of experience as one of New York’s top litigators primarily serving financial institutions, mortgage lenders/servicers and businesses.  His career has largely involved complex Appeals, Real Estate Transactions and Litigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Eviction/Landlord-Tenant, Business Formations, Intellectual Property, Contracts, Wills/Probate and Administrations.
 
A native Long Islander, Kiyam was born in Rockville Centre, New York to parents, James and Sharon Poulson.  As a pre-teen, Kiyam and his parents moved to the culturally diverse, working-class neighborhood of Freeport, New York.  Kiyam’s parents instilled a strong work ethic and dedication to one’s craft which Kiyam carries with him to this day. 
 
After graduating Freeport High School as President of his class, Kiyam attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics concentrating in Entrepreneurial Management.  While at Penn, Kiyam was honored as one of the Universities' Top 100 Cultural Elite.  Thereafter, he returned to Long Island and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in Hempstead, New York. 
 
Upon admission to the New York State Bar, Kiyam also was admitted to Federal practice in the Eastern, Southern, Northern and Western Districts of New York.  Kiyam has been a Managing Associate at several top tier New York foreclosure firms and has also successfully argued in the Appellate Division, Second Department.

Kiyam's many years representing financial institutions in litigated matters led him to found, Poulson Law PLLC, a practice dedicated to utilizing those skills to help the New York consumer and business owner.  Finally, a chance to level the playing field!
